What gets listed
We list tools that do a clear job well and that real people can sign up for today. For each one we record:
- what it does, as the use cases it fits
- who it suits and who it doesn’t
- its starting price, with a link to the vendor’s pricing page and the date we checked it
Tested vs not tested
When we’ve used a tool ourselves, its page says so and explains what we found. Until then it says “not tested by us yet”, and the description is based on the vendor’s own website and help pages.
Articles start as research drafts. They’re marked as drafts and kept out of search engines until we’ve tested the recommended tools hands-on.
Our own apps
usefully makes its own apps. When one of them fits a use case, it appears at the top of that use case under “Made by usefully”, separate from the independent list of other tools. We never present our own app as a neutral pick.
Money
- No paid placements. Nobody pays to be listed, ranked higher or reviewed.
- No affiliate links right now. If we add them in future, every page with one will say so at the top, and that will be explained here before it happens.
